Grass Fed Angus Veal Paddock to Plate

Here at Broger’s End Kangaroo Valley we know that being vegetarian is the best thing for the planet, but some fresh veal straight from our farm is a treat which is hard to resist! Our calves are lovingly farmed and deserve to be appreciated! They are Black Angus cattle, raised peacefully on beautiful pastures with their mothers. Our farm is working toward organic certification.

Veal becomes available periodically through the winter. Register below and we will notify you when the packs are available. You can then order your pack online.

The veal is hung, butchered and packed in vacuum packs of 2-4 servings, then packed into boxes of approximately 20 kg. The veal with stay fresh in the fridge for 2 weeks, and in the freezer for 6 months. Also included in your veal box free of charge are some bones cut into convenient sizes for a very lucky dog or for making stocks and sauces. Each pack is basically 1/8 of the beast and includes the following cuts (with some variation according to which eighth of the beast you get):

Osso bucco
rump roast
double cutlet
Blade steaks
Diced meat
Topside roast
Blade steaks

The veal is lovingly prepared by our artisan butchers at Feather & Bone, Marrickville. You can collect your box from them, or they will arrange delivery to your door in Sydney. The cost works out to about $14/kg which is about 40% less than what you would pay for the same quality meat at a retail butcher.
