Garlic

Garlic

I’m not ready yet!

A culinary staple across the world, garlic adds a distinct and irresistible flavour to countless dishes, making it an essential ingredient. Depending on preparation and method of cooking, its flavour can range from mild and subtle to bold and robust. Synonymous with Italian dishes ranging from pastas to pizzas, garlic can be used to enhance sauces and marinades. In pan-asian cuisine, garlic provides a reliable base for stir-fries, curries, soups and broths.

To pick:

Garlic bulbs are ready to pick when the foliage on top has yellowed and wilted, with approximately 4 to 6 remaining leaves which should be green in colour. Using a fork or trowel, gently lift the bulbs from the bed. Carefully remove excess soil and place the garlic in a warm, dry and well-ventilated area.

I took a minimum of 200 days to be ready for harvest!

Please be mindful that this garden is a shared space.

Kindly only pick what you will consume at the time of harvest.
