Cucumber

Cucumber

I’m not ready yet!

Characterised by their refreshing taste and texture, cucumbers provide a cool contrast to any dish. Slice in salads, add to wraps and sandwiches or use as a crunchy topping for tacos and burgers. The coolness of cucumbers is showcased effortlessly in dips like tzatziki, which pair well with any and all sources of protein and carbohydrates. When pickled and cured, the flavour of cucumbers is intensely enhanced. Their cool and crisp essence makes cucumbers the perfect addition to beverages, adding a delightful twist to cocktails such as Cucumber Collins’ and Martinis, or simply infused in water for extra hydration!

To pick:

When ready to pick, cucumbers should have a glossy skin and be firm (but not too hard) to the touch. Use sharp shears or a knife to cut the stem around a 1/4 of an inch above the cucumber. Ensure you avoid twisting or pulling the cucumber as this can damage the vegetable and the plant itself.

I took a minimum of 60 days to be ready for harvest!

Please be mindful that this garden is a shared space.

Kindly only pick what you will consume at the time of harvest.
